In September 2016, the Artisan School of Cosmetology opened the doors on its campus in Marietta, OH. Our newest campus is in downtown Marietta, on Third Street. With over 6,000 square feet of space, there is plenty of room for you to learn and grow as a cosmetologist. Our instructors are skilled, both as cosmetologists and as beauty school instructors, and over 90 percent of the graduates from our Marietta location have jobs waiting when they graduate from our classrooms. All our classes include Ohio State Law and Human Trafficking training in compliance with OAC 4713-1-14.
Study Cosmetology at a Local Beauty School
At the Marietta Artisan School of Cosmetology, you will spend 1,500 hours doing hands-on education in a cosmetology program that will prepare you for your cosmetology license in the state of Ohio. In our basic cosmetology program, you will learn the art of hair dressing, which includes various hair cutting techniques, learning to style hair with an assortment of tools, color treatment techniques, and much more. We use top of the line products to teach texture techniques, and we make certain you learn trends, as well as classic styles. In our cosmetology program, you will also spend time learning aesthetics techniques, make-up application, and nail treatments.
Become a Skilled Hair Designer with the Artisan School
Our instructors offer a 1,200-hour hair designing course for those individuals who want to focus on learning to cut, color, and style hair. This course includes hands-on instruction on hair cutting, styling with a variety of tools, and color techniques (including tinting, balayage, foil highlighting, free-hand techniques, and fashion color). We use high quality products to teach our students hair texturizing to ensure they learn the trends, as well as classic wraps. We fully prepare our students to get their license in the state of Ohio.
Increase Your Knowledge with Advanced Cosmetology Courses
The advanced cosmetology program at our Marietta, OH location is perfect for individuals who want to become a cosmetology instructor. Our program is 1,800 hours in length, comprised of 1,500 hours of our normal cosmetology course and 300 hours devoted to learning to instruct, and it fulfills the Ohio state requirements for becoming an instructor. In this course, you will learn everything included in our regular cosmetology course and more! We teach the art of hair dressing, which includes clipper cutting, razor cuts, classic cuts, styling with an assortment of tools, color techniques (including tinting, balayage, foil highlighting, free hand techniques, and fashion color), texture techniques using the highest quality products, and more.
This program includes a study of aesthetics, where our students learn hands-on techniques, such as facial manipulations, skin care, facial and body waxing, and relaxing and exfoliating back treatments. Our instructors also teach make-up application and a segment on nails, where students learn to perform manicures, pedicures, and acrylic techniques.
Learn Advanced Nail Technology for Enhanced Skills
In the 300-hour advanced nail technology program, students learn various nail art techniques, as well as acrylic application and manicures/pedicures. We teach how to properly apply acrylic nails, from learning how to safely use the tools and equipment to how to remove the nails painlessly.
Our students also learn a variety of nail art techniques, including free hand and stamping, which will help them enhance a client’s experience in the salon.
