Advanced Cosmetology Program: Become a Licensed Cosmetologist
At the Artisan School of Cosmetology, you will spend 1,800 hours doing hands-on education in a quality cosmetology program that will prepare you for your cosmetology license in the state of West Virginia. In this program, you will learn the art of hair dressing, which includes a variety of cutting techniques, styling with an assortment of tools, color techniques, and more. Our program uses top of the line products to teach texture techniques, and we make certain you learn trends, as well as classic styles. In our cosmetology program, you will also spend time learning aesthetics techniques, make-up application, and nail treatments.
Artisan School of Cosmetology also offers a 1500-hour standard cosmetology course covering the basics required for licensing as a cosmetologist.

Hair Designer Program: Learn Hair Techniques from the Professionals
We offer a 1,200-hour hair designing course for those individuals who want to focus on learning to cut, color, and style hair. This course includes hands-on instruction on hair cutting, styling with a variety of tools, and color techniques (including tinting, balayage, foil highlighting, free-hand techniques, and fashion color). We only use top of the line products to teach our students texture techniques to ensure you learn modern trends, as well as classic wraps.
Aesthetics Program: Learn the Art of Skin Care at the Artisan School
In our 600-hour aesthetician program, our students learn skin care techniques to help their future clients glow. By the end of the theory and practical segments of this course, our students can perform facials and facial manipulations. We ensure that when our students graduate from our aesthetics program, they have a vast knowledge of infection control. We teach waxing in our aesthetics program, covering everything from the many types of wax, to correct application techniques, to how to wax nearly every part of the body. This program also includes courses on make-up application, where each student will learn how to match individuals with the correct color palette and proper techniques to bring out the natural beauty in every client.
Advanced Manicurist: Learn Nail Art, Acrylic Application, and More
In the 300-hour Advanced Manicurist program, students learn how to care for and make nails art. This program teaches various nail art techniques, as well as acrylic application and manicures/pedicures. Our instructors show students how to properly apply acrylic nails, how to safely use the tools and equipment, and how to remove the nails painlessly. Students are also taught a variety of nail art techniques, including free hand and stamping, which will help them enhance a client’s experience in the salon.
